IPCENA
is an ecological organization founded the year 1990,
that works in the regions of Lleida promoting the
Environment. Abbreviations IPCENA = Institució
de Ponent For Nature Conservation - both reflect vertebradores
axes of our activity: The conservation of the natural
patrimony and its study, with the purpose of spreading
its values and of sensitizing our society. From year
1999, IPCENA comprises of the Assembly of Ecological
Organizations of Catalunya (AEEC), that the month
of June of the 2002 was constituted like Federation
of Ecological Organizations of Catalonia.

Study and raise public awareness:
The main target that it impelled the IPCENA creation
was the defense of our surroundings. The best tool
for this one mission is the education of the people
and the promotion of activities that help to discover
the values of the Nature. With this one objective
we developed all class of activities of environmental
education, destined at all the levels of knowledge
and applied to diverse scopes:

of protected Natural Spaces in charge of our
technicians, promotion of projects of treatment
of resíduos, as well as promoting Ecological
Agriculture and the sustainability through the
greater one of the environmental Fairs of Catalonia,
Fira Natura. |

Conservation:
Being insufficient the sensibilización tasks,
basically by the rapidity with which our capitalist
society devours the natural resources, we are ourselves
forced to paralyze projects that tolerate serious
impacts on the ecosystems and the medio.ambiente.
For it we used all the legal tools to our reach, from
public manifestations, journalistic press conferences,
articles, administrative contentious denunciations
and in the courts.
Management:
IPCENA has their seat in Lleida. From this one
all the tasks of administration of the association,
as well as the development of projects of environmental
management, problematic diverse activities of pursuit
of the environmental ones, revision of projects, denunciations
and the rest of activities of our association are
made.
In our offices we have a bottom of consultation and
documentation, Library, Newspaper and periodicals
library, and Video library.
